Burns & Wilcox continues to prioritize the health and well-being of our associates, clients and partners, which includes providing ongoing updates on the actions we have taken during the pandemic.
In mid-March, Burns & Wilcox moved to a remote operation, with nearly all associates worldwide working from their homes. The transition was smooth, and our business has advanced with minimal disruptions.
Our teams have seamlessly adapted to this temporary “new-normal,” while continuing to deliver the high standard of service and expertise on which our clients rely.
We will always employ a long-term outlook, leaning into the deep relationships with clients, insurance companies and one another to withstand this challenging environment.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
MARCH 16, 2020
As we collectively navigate this extraordinary time, let us first extend our best for continued health and safety for you and your family. Burns & Wilcox is taking extensive actions in response to COVID-19.
We remain open for business. Our priority continues to be serving our clients’ needs while ensuring the health and well-being of our team members, clients, and business partners. As we communicated last week, Burns & Wilcox regularly monitors the latest recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and public health departments in creating and adjusting our business continuity plans.
Effective today, we have implemented the following:
- Encouraging all employees to work remotely, with the exception only to those who must come into their office for business continuity purposes. These employees must practice social distancing, maintaining at least six feet of space or more from another person.
- Halting all business travel, including local meetings, immediately. All conversations with colleagues, clients and insurance company partners will now take place via webex or phone.
Our teams are dedicated to providing the same level of industry-leading service, expertise and responsiveness you have come to expect for over 50 years.
We will continue to keep you updated on any operational changes as the situation evolves. Thank you for your continued partnership.
