Cheryl began her insurance career in 1976 at Reed Shaw Stenhouse.  During her career, she has worked at prominent Brokerages as a Marketer and Producer.
In 2004, family obligations steered Cheryl to leaving the insurance business for a few years where she opened and ran her own Bistro/Coffee Bar. In 2009, she returned to insurance and joined Mutual Fire as a Farm Underwriter, which was the pathway to her MGA career.  Beacon/Cansure Underwriting was Cheryl's first exposure to the MGA world where she found her niche.  The opportunity to put to use her expertise in Marketing and Underwriting set the stage for the next several years to come.In 2014 Cheryl was invited by Trans Canada Insurance Marketing (TCIM) to join their organization (working from home) and assist in growing the Western Region.  Through hard work and dedication she worked her way to become the Vice-President of BC.  The onset of COVID in 2020 resulted in her return to Cansure, where she was the Underwriting Manager in the Langley office.Fast forward to 2021 and Cheryl is very excited to join Burns & Wilcox as Manager, Western Canada.
