The Champions & Charities program celebrates the inspiring performance of Team Burns & Wilcox by supporting our athletes’ favorite charities. We started with a $25,000 donation on behalf of Justin Abdelkader, and we will contribute more for each eagle Jimmy Walker and Webb Simpson shoot. The Champions & Charities program will give a minimum of $75,000 — but every eagle can take the total even higher.
Webb Simpson is partnering with Team Fox, the grassroots fundraising community of The Michael J. Fox Foundation, to speed a cure for the estimated 6 million people worldwide who live with Parkinson’s disease. The Foundation works urgently toward one goal: ending Parkinson’s and advancing improved treatments for those living with the disease today. It is a goal that has a special meaning to Webb, whose father, Sam Simpson, suffered from Parkinson’s.
Jimmy Walker is working together with Global Lyme Alliance which is dedicated to conquering Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. Each year, there are 427,000 new cases of Lyme in the U.S. alone. Jimmy’s support is inspired by his personal battle with the disease, which he announced in 2017.
Justin Abdelkader is teaming up with Forgotten Harvest in its mission to fight hunger in metro Detroit. The organization collects wholesome food from wholesalers, farmers and grocery stores, and delivers it to food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters—more than 3.75 million pounds each month.
Burns & Wilcox is a proud sponsor of PGA TOUR® events.
